Operational Process
The VPSA oxygen generator operates using mature, reliable technology based on zeolite molecular sieve (ZMS) and vacuum regeneration system. The process consists of three main stages:
1. Purification Stage
Ambient air is first filtered to remove impurities, then moderately compressed by the fan system. This pretreatment ensures clean air meets oxygen extraction requirements.
2. Adsorption Stage
Pretreated air enters a container with zeolite molecular sieve, which selectively adsorbs nitrogen while allowing oxygen to pass through. The system removes residual moisture and carbon dioxide, producing oxygen-rich gas.
3. Desorption Stage
When zeolite becomes saturated with nitrogen, a dry-running vacuum pump reduces pressure to release adsorbed gases. The system includes a buffer tank to ensure continuous oxygen supply through repeated purification, adsorption, and desorption cycles.
